Dutch ..... Simpele vierkante of rechthoekige mantel gemaakt van ruwe wol. Werd gedragen door Romeinse soldaten, over de wapenuitrusting en vastgemaakt aan de rechterschouder. Werd ook beschouwd als een symbool voor oorlog, zoals de toga een symbool voor vrede was. |
