Note: People or groups of people who own and oversee the high-level operation of plantations, which are agricultural complexes usually worked by resident labor, often reserved for those in tropical or sub-tropical locations. The term often has negative connotations in modern usage, because many plantations relied upon the labor of enslaved people in the 17th through 19th centuries.

Plantages zijn landbouwcomplexen die meestal door vaste arbeiders worden bewerkt, vaak op tropische of subtropische locaties.
