Note: Refers to paintings, photographs, or art in other media in which the subject is a female nude in a suggestive pose or other erotica. It generally refers specifically to pictures dating from the 17th through 19th centuries in Western art, when such pictures would have typically been displayed in a smoking room, study, or other domestic room frequented primarily by men. The female subjects commonly assumed traditional poses known from older, more traditional art, such as the reclining nude originally depicted in iconography of the mythological characters Venus or Diana.

| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar schilderijen, foto's of kunstvormen met andere media, waarin het onderwerp een naakte vrouw in een suggestieve pose is, of andere erotica. Het verwijst meestal specifiek naar afbeeldingen uit de Westerse kunst uit de 17de eeuw tot en met de 19de eeuw, toen dergelijke afbeeldingen werden getoond in rookkamers, studeerkamers of een ander woonvertrek waar vooral mannen kwamen. De vrouwelijke modellen namen meestal traditionele poses aan naar het voorbeeld van oudere, traditionelere kunst, zoals het achteroverleunende naaktmodel dat oorspronkelijk werd afgebeeld in iconografie van de mythologische figuren Venus of Diana. |
| Spanish ..... Se refiere a pinturas, fotografias o arte en otro medio en el cual el tema es un desnudo femenino en una pose sugestiva o algo erótica. Generalmente se refiere específicamene a pinturas datadas desde el siglo XVII hasta el siglo XIX en el arte occidental, cuando este tipo de pinturas podían ser exhibidas en una sala de fumadores, estudio u otra habitación doméstica frecuentada principalmente por hombres. Los temas femeninos comúnmente asumen poses tradicionales conocidas desde el arte más antiguo y tradicional como el desnudo reclinado originalmente representado en iconografía de Venus o Diana de carácter mitológico.
