Note: Refers to a woven textile characterized by parallel diagonal ridges or ribs, produced by passing the weft threads over one and under two or more threads of the warp, instead of over and under in regular succession, as in plain weaving. Regular twill features a diagonal line that is repeated regularly, usually running from the left to right at a 45-degree angle and upward. The weave may be varied in several ways, including changing the angle or direction of the twill line, as exemplified in herringbone twill.

Keperweefsel heeft normaal gesproken een diagonale lijn die regelmatig wordt herhaald en gewoonlijk omhoog loopt van links naar rechts onder een hoek van 45 graden. Het weefpatroon kan op verschillende manieren worden gevarieerd, bijvoorbeeld door de hoek of de richting van de keperlijn te veranderen, zoals bij een visgraatmotief. |

Se refiere a un textil tejido a telar caracterizado por cordoncillos o lomos diagonales paralelos que se producen al pasar las hebras de la trama sobre una y por debajo de dos o más hebras de la urdimbre, en vez de pasar por encima y por debajo en sucesión regular, como en el telar sencillo. El twill normal presenta una línea diagonal que se repite regulamente, en general de izquerda a derecha en un ángulo de 45 grados y hacia arriba. La trama puede variar en varias formas, incluyendo el cambio de ángulo o dirección de la línea de la sarga, como en el caso de la sarga en cola de pescado.
