Dutch ..... Eéndelige kledingstukken die tot op de grond reiken, met lange mouwen en een zeer wijde rok, soms met sleep en soms met een riem, en vaak gevoerd met bont; door vrouwen gedragen in de 14e en 15e eeuw, en aanvankelijk ook door mannen. 
German ..... Langes, einteiliges Kleidungsstück, manchmal gegürtet, mit langen Ärmeln von unterschiedlicher Form und einem extrem weiten Rock mit Schleppe. Wurde von Frauen im 14. und 15. Jahrhundert, und anfänglich auch von Männern, getragen. Oft mit Pelz gefüttert. 
Spanish ..... Prenda de cuerpo entero y de una sola pieza, algunas veces con cinturón, con mangas largas de formas variables y una falda extremadamente completa con una cola. Lo llevaban las mujeres, y al principio los hombres también, durante los siglos XIV y XV. Con frecuente, forrada con piel.
