Note: Photographic paper with a fiber base material coated on both sides with a plastic resin; the plastic resin prevents the base from absorbing processing solutions and wash water. The coating on the emulsion side usually contains white pigment to form a background for the image and the coating on the reverse is usually transparent. The benefits of using resin-coated paper are a short washing time, reduced water use, and a short drying time.

| Dutch ..... Fotopapier met een basismateriaal van vezels, tweezijdig gecoat met een plastic hars. De plastic hars voorkomt dat het basismateriaal waswater en oplossingen absorbeert die tijdens de verwerking worden gebruikt. De coating aan de emulsiezijde bevat meestal wit pigment om een achtergrond te creëren voor de afbeelding en de coating aan de andere kant is doorgaans transparant. De voordelen van RC-papier zijn een korte wastijd, een lager waterverbruik en een korte droogtijd. |
| Spanish ..... Papel fotográfico con un material de base de fibra revestido en ambas caras con resina plástica. La resina plástica evita que la base absorba las soluciones de procesamiento y el agua de lavado. El revestimiento del lado con emulsión contiene habitualmente pigmento blanco para formar un fondo para la imagen y el revestimiento del reverso es habitualmente transparente. Las ventajas de utilizar papel revestido con resina son un tiempo de lavado más breve, el uso de menor cantidad de agua y un tiempo de secado más breve.
