Note: Leading staffs with heads imitating those of various other staff weapons, but most commonly having a broad, pointed blade with a rounded base, often with two pointed lugs like a partisan or a crossbar like a boar spear. They were used in Great Britain and Continental Europe from the 18th into the mid-19th century by infantry subordinate officers, particularly English sergeants. |

Chinese (traditional) ..... 模仿各式各樣其他長柄武器頂端的指揮棒,最普遍的形式則是具有寬闊的尖刃,底部為圓形,通常有兩支似闊頭槍(partisan)的尖柄,或者猶如獵野豬長矛上的橫木。見於十八世紀至十九世紀中期的大英帝國與歐陸,為較低階的步兵團軍官所佩帶,特別是英國的陸軍中士。 |
Dutch ..... Officierspieken met een kop als die van diverse ander stokwapens, maar meestal met een brede, puntige kling met een ronde basis en vaak twee puntige uitsteeksels zoals bij een partisaan, of een dwarsbalk zoals bij een everzwijnspies; gebruikt in Europa van de 18e tot halverwege de 19e eeuw door onderofficieren van de infanterie, in het bijzonder door Engelse sergeanten. |
Spanish ..... Astas importantes con cabezas imitando aquellas de diversas otras armas de asta, pero que generalmente tenían una hoja ancha y puntiaguda con una base redonda, a menudo con dos agarraderas en punta como una partesana o una barra cruzada como una lanza para cazar jabalíes. Se usaron en Gran Bretaña y Europa continental desde el siglo XVIII hasta mediados del siglo XIX por suboficiales de infantería, especialmente sargentos ingleses. |
