Note: Large French desks popular in the late Louis XV and the Louis XVI periods with a roll top in the shape of a quarter cylinder. This type was occasionally imitated in other countries, besides France, particularly in Germany and Scandinavia in the last decade of the 18th century and virtually every western country during the 19th and 20th centuries.

| Dutch ..... Grote Franse bureaus die populair waren aan het eind van de periode van Lodewijk XV en Lodewijk de XVI. Het kwartronde deksel kan over de schrijftafel worden getrokken. Dit type werd soms nagemaakt in andere landen, waaronder Frankrijk, vooral Duitsland en Scandinavië in het laatste decennium van de 18e eeuw en bijna in elk westers land tijdens de 19e en 20e eeuw. |
