Note: An atheistic religion established in the 1970s by Claude Vorilhon, known as Raël, who is held by his followers to be a prophet along with Buddha, Mohammed, Moses, and Jesus Christ. Among its basic tenets are that life on Earth was created through genetic engineering by extra-terrestrials and that life may be continued after death through cloning, citing as proof an interpretation of certain scientific material, the Bible, and other religious texts.

Verwijst naar de filosofie, de atheïstische religie en het geloofssysteem waarin wordt gesteld dat Raël de laatste is in een rij profeten die ook Boeddha, Mohammed, Mozes en Jezus Christus omvat. Het raëlisme ontstond in de jaren 70 van de 20ste eeuw. De leer is onder andere gebaseerd op het idee dat het leven op aarde is ontstaan via genetische manipulatie door buitenaardse wezens en dat na de dood het leven kan worden voortgezet door middel van klonen. Steun voor deze en andere leerstellingen wordt gevonden in de natuurwetenschappen en in de Bijbel en andere religieuze teksten. Hoofddoel van het raëlisme is het bereiken van mensenrechten, vrede, liefde en geluk op aarde. De vele voorschriften moedigen aan tot meditatie en ontmoedigen het gebruik van tabak, alcoholische drank en illegale drugs. Het raëlisme hecht veel waarde aan uitvoerende en beeldende kunsten en andere vormen van creativiteit. |

Se refiere a la filosofía, religión ateísta, y sistema de creencias que sostienen que Raël es el último en una serie de profetas que también incluyen a Buddha, Mahoma, Moisés, y Jesús. Se fundó en los años 60. Entre sus principios básicos está que la vida sobre la Tierra fue creada por medio de ingeniería genética por extra-terrestres y que la vida puede continuar después de la muerte por medio de clonación; este y otros principios se basan en la Biblia, libros científicos y otros textos religiosos. La primera, entre sus metas, es el cumplimiento de los derechos humanos, la paz, ael mor, y felicidad en la Tierra.
