Note: Spoons having a fairly large carrying bowl and a rounded end, designed for feeding pap, which is liquid or semi-liquid grain meal moistened with water and suitable for babies or invalids. The pap is sipped from the bowl or poured from the bowl into the mouth. The bowl is somewhat larger than that of a baby spoon or feeding spoon, the bowls of which are designed to fit entirely within the baby's mouth. These spoons were popular in the 19th and early 20th centuries. They are often of silver and given as gifts, intended to be kept as a memento of infanthood.

Dutch ..... Lepels die worden gebruikt voor het voeren van pap aan peuters. 
German ..... Löffel, der eine relative lange tragende Laffe und ein abgerundetes Ende besitzt, gestaltet, um Brei zu füttern, der aus flüssiger oder halb-flüssiger Getreide-Nahrung, eingeweicht mit Wasser, besteht und geeignet ist für Babies oder Kranke. Der Brei wird von der Laffe in kleinen Schlucken aufgenommen oder im Ganzen aufgenommen. Seine Laffe ist etwas länger als die eines Babylöffels oder eines Fütterlöffels, deren Laffen so gestaltet sind, dass sie ganz in den Babymund passen. Ein solcher Löffel war im 19. und frühen 20. Jahrhundert populär. Er bestand oft aus Silber und wurde als Geschenk überreicht als Erinnerung an die Kinderzeit.
