Note: Musical instruments designed for recording purposes by Augustus Stroh of London around 1901. The body consists of a long, narrow piece of wood or aluminum plate, the top of which serves as a fingerboard for the strings, and a flexible membrane to which a metal bell like that of an aerophone is attached, mounted at one side of the bridge; concert models occasionally have two bells.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 指1901年左右，倫敦的奧古斯特‧斯特羅（Augustus Stroh）為了錄音而發明的樂器。琴身包括狹長的木板或鋁板，板子頂部作為琴弦的指板，管樂器的金屬號口銜接彈性獸皮，並且固定於琴橋的一端。有些用於音樂會的斯特羅小提琴會有兩個金屬號口。 |

| German ..... Musikinstrument, entwickelt für Aufnahmen mit einem Grammophon von Augustus Stroh in London um 1901. Der Korpus besteht aus einem langen, schmalen Stück Holz oder Aluminumplatte, wobei das Ende als Griffbrett für die Saiten dient, und einer beweglichen Membran, an die ein Metalltrichter, ähnlich dem eines Aerofons, angefügt ist, befestigt an einer Seite des Stegs; Konzertmodelle haben manchmal zwei Trichter. |
