Note: Devices that utilize the vibroscope method, based on the principle of string vibration, to measure the linear density of textile fibers as determined by the tension and length of fibers vibrating at resonance. By measuring the natural vibration frequency of fibers to determine the amount of fibers present in a cross-section of yarn, these devices are additionally able to evaluate the fiber's porosity and filtration resistance.
