Note: General term for a number of calendars used in ancient Greece, dividing the year into the 12 lunar months, in many examples having the intercalary month Embolimos. Independent of the division of a month into days, the month was divided into periods according to the waxing and waning of the moon.

| Dutch ..... Algemene term voor de groep kalendersystemen die gebruikt werden in het oude Griekenland, met een jaar van twaalf maanmaanden en in veel gevallen de schrikkelmaand Embolimos. Naast de verdeling in dagen werd de maand ook verdeeld in periodes die overeenkwamen met het wassen en afnemen van de maan. |
