Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Poppen met traditionele kleren die mensen met verschillende maatschappelijke functies vertegenwoordigen. Ze werden in christelijke zendingsposten gemaakt door de inwoners van het betreffende land. Men gebruikt de term met name voor houten poppen die in de jaren twintig van de twintigste eeuw werden gemaakt door Chinese vrouwen en kinderen in Britse zendingsposten in China. 
German ..... Puppe in traditioneller Bekleidung, die unterschiedliche Mitglieder einer Gesellschaft repräsentieren kann. Derartige Puppen wurden von Eingeborenen im Rahmen von christlichen Missionen geschaffen, insbesondere holzgeschnitzte Exemplare von chinesischen Frauen und Kindern während der britischen christlichen Missionen im China der 1920er Jahre.
