Note: Treating skins or hides with brain tissue which contains phosphorous compounds that oxidize oils to aldehydes. The process is not considered true tanning, as it is reversible, and the shrinkage temperature of the resulting material is not raised above that of the original. |

Dutch ..... Het behandelen van huiden of vellen met hersenweefsel met fosforhoudende bestanddelen die vetten oxideren tot aldehyden. Het proces wordt niet echt beschouwd als looien omdat het resultaat omkeerbaar is en de krimptemperatuur van het resulterende materiaal niet boven het oorspronkelijke materiaal ligt. |
Spanish ..... Tratar pieles con el tejido fino del cerebro que contiene fósforo que oxidan los aceites y a los aldehinos. El proceso no se considera como bruñido verdadero, pues es reversible, y la temperatura de la contracción del material, no se levanta sobre media. |
