Note: Large double-conical drums of West Africa with a tubular open foot at the base, played upright, usually in pairs, each being of a different pitch; one of the pair often has a jingle suspended across the drum head. They serve as talking drums on ceremonial occasions, and as accompaniment to ritual singing and dancing.

Additional Notes:
Chinese (traditional) ..... 西非的雙錐形大鼓,管狀的底部呈開放式,為直立型擊鼓,通常成對演奏,但音調各異,其一鼓面通常掛有鈴。在慶典儀禮上用作話鼓,為歌唱及舞蹈伴奏。 
Dutch ..... Grote dubbelkonische trommen, rechtopstaand met een buisvormig open voetstuk, meestal in paren, waarbij elke trom een eigen toonhoogte heeft; vaak met een stel rinkelbellen over het trommelvel van een van de twee; oorspronkelijk ontwikkeld en bespeeld in West-Afrika, als sprekende trommen bij ceremonies en bij rituele zang en dans. 
Spanish ..... Tambores cónicos dobles de gran tamaño de Africa Occidental con un pié tubular abierto en la base, tocados en forma vertical, generalmente en pares, cada uno de un tono diferente; uno del par a menudo tiene un cascabel colgado a través del parche. Sirven como tambores para transmitir mensajes en ceremonias, y como acompañamiento para cantos y bailes rituales.
