Note: Objects of varied design used to treat the raw edges of heavy leather. These are sometimes in the form of small wheels, with a groove in them to receive the edge. The leather is dampened and the slicker is rubbed rapidly along the edge of the leather to burnish the surface.

| Dutch ..... Voorwerpen met een uiteenlopend ontwerp die worden gebruikt om de ruwe randen van zwaar leer te behandelen. Soms hebben ze de vorm van kleine wieltjes met een groef waar de rand ingaat. Het leer wordt vochtig gemaakt en het gereedschap wordt snel langs de rand van het leer gewreven om het oppervlak glad te maken. |
