Note: Card photographs, generally portraits, which measure 4 1/4 by 6 1/2 inches, including the mount. They were introduced by F. R. Window in 1867 as larger alternatives to the "cartes-de-visite," which measured 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches. The larger size was considered more appropriate for display, allowed for group portraits, and permitted the image to be retouched. The size remained popular until World War I.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 由F.R溫多 (F. R. Window) 於1867年所推行的肖像照片，通常用以取代尺寸為 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 英吋的名片照片。這種結合裱貼卡 (尺寸約為 4 1/4 x 6 1/2英吋) 的照片更適合觀賞、表現集體肖像，並能夠加以修改影像。這種尺寸的照片到了第一次世界大戰時便不再流行。 |
| Dutch ..... Fotografische kaarten, meestal portretten, die F. R. Window in 1867 introduceerde als groter alternatief voor de cartes-de-visite. Het grotere formaat van opzetkarton en foto, ongeveer 11 bij 16,5 cm, was geschikter om uit te stallen en maakte groepsportretten mogelijk. Bovendien kon de afbeelding worden geretoucheerd. Het bleef een populair formaat tot de Eerste Wereldoorlog. |
| German ..... Kartenfotografie, für gewöhnlich Porträts, die von F. R. Window 1867 als größere Alternative zu den Visitenkartenporträts, die ca. 9 cm x 5,5 m maßen, eingeführt wurden. Die größere Kombination von Karton und Fotografie mit den Maßen 16,5 cm x 11,5 cm galt als geeigneter zur Ausstellung, erlaubte Gruppenporträts und ermöglichte eine Retusche des Bildes. Das Format blieb beliebt bis zum 1. Weltkrieg. |

El gran tamaño, alrededor de 4 1/4 por 6 1/2 pulgadas, fue considerado más apropiado para exhibición, permitiendo retratos de grupo y permitía el retoque de las imágenes. El tamaño mantuvo su popularidad hasta la Primera Guerra Mundial. |
