Dutch ..... Ondiepe schalen in verschillende grootten, met een vlakke bodem, die één horizontaal handvat op gelijke hoogte met de rand hebben. Soms vervaardigd in paren of sets. 
German ..... Kleine, niedrige, flachbodige Schale oder Napf, oft aus Irdenware, Metall oder Holz und üblicherweise mit einem Henkel, für Suppen, Eintöpfe oder ähnliche Mahlzeiten genutzt. Die traditionelle Form weist einen horizontal durchbrochenen Henkel auf, der bündig mit dem Rand abschließt, und wurde manchmal in Paaren, Sätzen und in variierender Größe gefertigt. 
Spanish ..... Bols poco profundos de fondo plano con un asa horizontal perforada nivelada con el borde. Algunas veces en pares o juegos y variado en tamaño.
