Note: Negatives on paper made by William Henry Fox Talbot's patented calotype process, a developing-out process. Distinguished from Talbot's "photogenic drawings," in which the image was printed out. For most prints made from these negatives, use "calotype prints (positive prints)." In the mid-20th century, the term was sometimes used incorrectly for all other paper negatives or salted paper prints.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 由塔伯特 (Talbot) 研發取得專利的卡羅攝影術製作而得的紙基負片。此技術有別於塔伯特 (Talbot) 所創，以直接透過拓印方式取得影像的「光繪成像」。若大多是由負片沖印而得的相片，則稱為「銀鹽紙相片」。在二十世紀中期，有時會誤作為任何其他的紙基負片或銀鹽紙相片。 |
| Dutch ..... Negatieven op papier vervaardigd door dit papier lichtgevoelig te maken met zilverjodide of zilvernitraat en tussen de 10 en 60 seconden te belichten. Na afwerking werd het verkregen negatief met was behandeld om het transparant te maken.Te onderscheiden van 'photogenic drawings' waarbij het beeld bij daglicht wordt ontwikkeld. Gebruik 'zoutdrukken' voor de meeste afdrukken die gemaakt zijn van deze negatieven. |
| German ..... Negativ auf Papier, das nach Talbots patentierter Kalotypie, einem Entwicklungsverfahren, hergestellt wird. Es unterscheidet sich von Talbots “fotogenischen Zeichnungen”, in denen das Bild entwickelt wird. Für die meisten Abzüge von diesen Negativen wird “Salzpapierabzug” verwendet. Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts manchmal fälschlicherweise für andere Papiernegative oder Salzpapierabzüge verwendet. |
| Portuguese ..... Negativos em papel feitos pelo processo de calótipo patenteado de William Henry Fox Talbot, um processo de revelação. Distingue-se dos "desenhos fotogênicos" de Talbot, nos quais a imagem foi impressa. Para a maioria das impressões feitas a partir desses negativos, use "impressões de calotipagem (impressões positivas)". Em meados do século 20, o termo às vezes era usado incorretamente para todos os outros negativos de papel ou impressões em papel salgado. |
| Spanish ..... Úsese para negativos en papel realizado mediante el proceso de calotipia patentado por Talbot, proceso de revelado. Distinto de "dibujo fotogénico" de Talbot, en que la imagen es impresa. Para la mayoría de las copias realizadas de estos negativos, use "copia en papel salado". A mediados del siglo XX fue usado algunas veces incorrectamente para cualquier otro negativo en papel o copias en papel salado. |
