Note: A technique that is a hybrid of drawing and printmaking. The oil transfer drawing technique is achieved by covering a surface, often a sheet of paper, with oil paint or printing ink, laying a clean sheet of paper over it, and drawing on top with a mark-making tool; the pressure of the tool causes the ink or paint from below to transfer to the back of the top sheet. The technique was used by both Paul Gauguin and Paul Klee, but predates them both.

| Dutch ..... Een techniek die een hybride is tussen tekenen en prenten maken. Een oppervlak, vaak een vel papier, wordt bedekt met olieverf of drukinkt, en eroverheen wordt een leeg vel papier gelegd. Vervolgens wordt hierop getekend met een markeerinstrument. Door de druk komt de inkt of verf op de achterkant van het bovenste vel. De techniek werd door Paul Gauguin en Paul Klee gebruikt, maar bestond al eerder. |
