Note: A thick, paste-like mixture of powdered calcium carbonate and linseed oil, used to fill holes and cracks in wood or metal, to secure and seal panes of glass in window frames, and other applications to create an air and water tight seal. Some putties also contain lead white or red lead, which accelerate the drying of the linseed oil. In the second half of the 20th century, many new types of sealants and glazing compounds became available and oil based putty is generally no longer in use.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 一種質稠、似漿糊的混合物，由約百分之八十五的粉狀碳酸鈣與百分之十五的亞麻籽油組成，用來填補木材或金屬內的孔縫、穩固及密封窗框裡的方格玻璃，或於其他用途中用以達成防氣且防水的密封。某些油灰並含有白鉛或紅鉛，可加速亞麻籽油的乾燥。無色油灰由三水合氧化鋁、油或樹脂亮光漆混合而成。填隙油灰為油灰混合物的一種，可能含有石棉纖維作為填充料。二十世紀後半期開始，因為有多種新型密封及釉合成物可供利用，一般便不再使用以油為基底的油灰。 |
| Dutch ..... Een zware pasta samengesteld uit pigment, zoals krijtwit gemengd met lijnolie; wordt gebruikt om gaten en spleten in hout te dichten voor het verven of om ruiten in hun kozijnen vast te zetten en af te dichten. |
| Spanish ..... Pasta densa compuesta de pigmento, como yeso blanco mezclado con aceite de linaza. Se utiliza para llenar orificios y grietas en la madera antes de pintar, o para fijar y sellar paneles de vidrio en marcos de ventana. |
