gill boxes (<textile fabricating tools and equipment>, textile working equipment, ... Furnishings and Equipment (hierarchy name)) |
|
Note: Mechanized devices designed to arrange worsted wool fibers in parallel order, eliminate minor impurities in the wool, and ensure that the fibers are blended uniformly. While these devices can come in many forms, they are typically composed of a pair of feed rollers and a series of moving pins or combs which act upon the wool in a combing action. The wool is first feed onto the feed rollers and is then carried through the pins and combs, which arrange and blend the fibers at rapid speeds. |
