Dutch ..... Soort kleine bladverliezende boom met stekelige takken, bladeren en borstelachtige bloeigestellen, die inheems is in de halfwoestijnen van Sub-Saharaans Afrika, Oman, Pakistan en Noordwest-India. De soort wordt algemeen beschouwd als bron van de beste Arabische gom. Voorheen werd de soort geclassificeerd als lid van het geslacht Acacia.
