Note: An easily worked yellow-brown fossiliferous limestone quarried in the Berici Hills south of Vicenza. It has been used since ancient times as a building and ornamental stone; the cathedral of Padua is a pietra di Nanto construction.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Een gemakkelijk bewerkbare geelbruine fossielhoudende kalksteen die wordt gedolven in de Berici-heuvels ten zuiden van Vicenza. Deze steen wordt al sinds oude tijden als bouw- en siersteen gebruikt. De kathedraal van Padua is gebouwd van pietra di Nanto.
