Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Japanse enkelsokken, gewoonlijk van katoen, met een los omhulsel voor de grote teen, door zowel mannen als vrouwen gedragen. Vaak voorzien van een dikke zool. Men draagt ze zonder schoeisel of in houten klompen die men ���geta' noemt. 
German ..... Japanisches Söckchen, in der Regel aus Baumwolle, mit einem separaten Abschnitt für den großen Zeh; wird von beiden Geschlechtern getragen. Besitzt oft eine dicke Sohle und wird entweder allein, mit Holzschuhen oder mit "Geta" getragen.
