Dutch ..... Hout van de soort Swietenia mahagoni, inheems in Zuid-Florida, de Bahama's, Cuba, Jamaica en Hispaniola. Het hout wordt roodachtig bruin als het is volgroeid. Voor deze soort werd de term 'mahonie' (afgeleid van een term in een indianentaal) voor het eerst gebruikt. |
