Note: Culture and style of the Elymi, ancient inhabitants of the extreme west of Sicily, a people to whom a Trojan origin was assigned by ancient writers. Their chief centers were at Segesta and at Eryx (Erice). They are archaeologically indistinguishable in the Early Iron Age (ca. 1000-ca. 500 BCE) from their Sicanian neighbors. They were heavily influenced by the style of Greek colonists of Sicily.

Hun voornaamste centra waren bij Segesta en bij Eryx (Erice). Ze zijn in de Vroege IJzertijd (ca. 1000 tot ca. 500 v.Chr.) archeologisch gezien niet te onderscheiden van hun buren, de Sicani. Ze werden sterk beïnvloed door de stijl van Griekse kolonisten van Sicilië.
