Chinese (traditional) ..... 外形似蛇的兩棲動物目,有由許多複合骨組成的堅實頭骨,適於挖土穴居;具四肢、體表有環褶,以及有永久的脊索,;雖然某些無足動物身上有鱗片,但普遍皮膚光滑。牠們與蛙類以及蟾蜍相同,行完全變態;頭骨結實,且眼小無眼瞼,眼睛幾乎藏於皮膚下。無足目可追溯至侏儸紀早期,其下六科已絕跡,現存約一百七十種物種。 |
Dutch ..... Orde van slangachtige amfibieën met een compacte schedel voor het graven, met tal van samengestelde botten, ledematen of gordels, een blijvend rudimentaire ruggengraat, meestal met een naakte huid (hoewel sommige soorten schubben hebben), een volledige metamorfose zoals bij kikkers en padden, en kleine oogjes zonder oogleden die door de huid aan het zicht worden onttrokken. Ze leefden reeds in de vroege Jura en omvatten momenteel zes families en circa 170 levende soorten. |
