Note: Refers to a perspective system derived from linear perspective, but employing curved lines to account for the optical illusion that wide or tall forms at right angles to the viewer's line of sight undergo perspectival diminution towards their extreme edges. In this system, a wide wall parallel to the picture plane would appear to taper at the left and right. The system was discussed by Leonardo da Vinci in the Renaissance, but was not often used until the 19th and 20th centuries.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 根據線性透視法發展而成的一種透視法。由於極寬或極高的形體若以適當視角觀看，離觀者越遠的部分會顯得越小，看起來就像是形體體積持續往邊緣縮減，曲線透視法即依據此原理用曲線營造出相似的視覺效果。在曲線透視圖中，一道與圖面平行、極寬的牆壁，越往左右兩側看起來會越扁小。在文藝復興時期，李奧納多．達文西（Vinci in the Renaissance）即討論過這種透視法，但是直到西元十九、二十世紀畫家才開始普遍使用。 |
| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een perspectiefsysteem dat is afgeleid van het lineair perspectief, maar gebruikmaakt van kromme lijnen om rekening te houden met de optische illusie dat brede of langwerpige vormen in een rechte hoek vanuit de zichtlijn van de kijker aan de uiterste randen een perspectivische verkleining ondergaan. In dit systeem zou een brede muur die zich parallel aan het afbeeldingsvlak bevindt, naar links en rechts taps toelopen. Het systeem is al in de renaissance beschreven door Leonardo da Vinci, maar werd tot de 19e en 20e eeuw niet vaak gebruikt. |
| Spanish ..... Perspectiva derivado de perspectiva lineal, emplea líneas curvadas para explicar la ilusión óptica de formas anchas o altas. El sistema fue discutido por L. da Vinci en el renacimiento, pero no era de uso frecuente hasta el siglo XIX. |
