Note: Smooth-grained natural- or cream-colored sheepskin leather, vegetable-tanned, usually with bark, commonly used in the 19th and early 20th centuries in binding law books, especially in England, as a less expensive alternative to "law calf." It has been superceded in that use by "law buckram."

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 紋理光滑、天然或奶油色澤的綿羊皮革，為植物鞣製而成，通常是由樹皮鞣製，在西元十九世紀及二十世紀初常用於法律書籍的裝訂，特別盛行於英格蘭，當時便以此作為「淺棕色上等小牛皮」的便宜替代品。此皮革也可以「法典用硬挺織物」來取代之。 |
| Dutch ..... Glad geaderd natuurlijk of crèmekleurig schapenleer, plantaardig gelooid (meestal met schors) en veel gebruikt in de 19de en 20ste eeuw voor het binden van wetboeken, voornamelijk in Engeland als goedkoper alternatief voor 'law calf'. Later werd het vervangen door 'law buckram'. |

Cuero de cordero de grano suave y color natural o crema, curtido con vegetales, habitualmente corteza y utilizado comúnmente en el siglo XIX y comienzos del XX para encuadernar libros legales, en especial en Inglaterra, como una alternativa menos costosa que el "becerro legal." Ha sido reemplazado en ese uso por el "bucarán legal." |
