Note: Use specifically for aerophones of generally conical bore and a wooden body made from or bound with birch or other bark, with fingerholes, a cup-shaped mouthpiece, and a bell of horn at the other end; examples are known to have been made in the early 1930s by Teppo Repo, a native of the Ingria region of Russia who brought the instrument to Finland. Used also very generally for a variety of wooden horns of Finland, usually made of or covered with birch bark, with or without fingerholes, some resembling trumpets or cornetts, others having a single reed.

Dutch ..... Te gebruiken voor aërofonen met over het algemeen een conische boring en een houten klankkast, gemaakt van of omwonden met berken- of andere schors, met vingergaten, een bekervormig mondstuk en een hoornen beker aan het andere uiteinde; voorbeelden hiervan zijn aan het begin van de jaren dertig van de 20ste eeuw gemaakt door Teppo Repo, afkomstig uit de Russische regio Ingra, die het instrument meenam naar Finland. Ook heel algemeen gebruikt voor uiteenlopende houten hoorns uit Finland, meestal gemaakt van of bedekt met berkenschors, met of zonder vingergaten, sommige lijkend op trompetten of kornetten, andere met een enkel riet. 
German ..... Spezifisch benutzt für ein Aerofon mit konischer Röhre und einem Korpus aus Holz, hergestellt aus Birkenrinde oder einer anderen Baumrinde oder mit dieser Rinde umwickelt, mit Fingerlöchern, einem Kesselmundstück und einem Schallbecher aus Horn am anderen Ende; von Exemplaren ist bekannt, dass sie in den frühen 1930er Jahren von Teppo Repo hergestelllt wurden, einem Einheimischen der Region Ingermanland in Russland, der das Instrument nach Finnland brachte. Die Bezeichnung wird auch sehr allgemein benutzt für eine Vielzahl von Holzhörnern aus Finnland, üblicherweise gefertigt aus oder bedeckt mit Birkenrinde, mit oder ohne Grifflöchern, einige Trompeten oder Zinken ähnlich, andere mit einem einfachen Rohrblatt. 
Spanish ..... Usese especialmente para aerófonos de diámetro interior generalmente cónico y un cuerpo de madera hecho de o recubierto con abedul u otra corteza, con orificios para los dedos, una boquilla en forma de copa, y una campana de trompa en el otro extremo; se sabe que ejemplares de este instrumento ya fueron construídos hacia l930 por Teppo Reppo, un nativo de la región rusa de Ingria, quien lo llevó a Finlandia. Use también de una manera muy general para varios aerófonos finlandeses, generalmente hechos de o recubiertos con corteza de abedul, con o sin orificios para los dedos, algunos parecidos a trompetas o cornetas, otros con una lengüeta sencilla.
