Note: Braided cords, worn around the shoulder on military uniforms, awarded as an honorary decoration. Also, similar cords adopted as trim on women's garments. Dutch ..... Te gebruiken voor gevlochten koorden die rond de schouder worden gedragen op militaire uniformen en worden toegekend als eretekenen. Ook te gebruiken voor soortgelijke koorden als garneersel op vrouwenkleding. Te onderscheiden van ‘vangsnoeren’, die gewoonlijk gevlochten zijn, eindigen in aglets en vooral worden gedragen door adjudanten en soms andere militaire officieren.
