Dutch ..... Lichte Europese stokwapens van ongeveer 2 meter lang, met een kop die meestal meer voor de sier is dan om als wapen gebruikt te worden; gedragen door infanterieofficieren in de 16e en 17e eeuw als teken van rang en om signalen mee te geven bij het leiden van hun mannen. 
Spanish ..... Armas de asta ligeras europeas, de aproximadamente 6 1/2 pies de largo y con una cabeza que generalmente es más decoración que arma, portadas por oficiales de infantería en los siglos XVI y XVII como un distintivo de rango y para hacer señales cuando guiaban a sus hombres.
