Note: Lightweight semi-tailored jackets usually made with a notched collar, patch pockets, and sometimes an insignia on the breast pocket. So called because originally made in brilliant colors or striped to distinguish schools, colleges, teams, or the like.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Lichte, enigszins getailleerde jasjes, doorgaans met ingesneden revers, opgestikte zakken en soms een embleem op de borstzak. Zo genoemd omdat deze oorspronkelijk in zeer felle kleuren of gestreept waren uitgevoerd om scholen, universiteiten, teams en dergelijke te onderscheiden. Tegenwoordig ook blauwe colberts in nautische context. 
German ..... Leichte, halbtaillierte Jacke, in der Regel mit einem Reverskragen, aufgesetzten Taschen und manchmal einem Abzeichen auf der Brusttasche. Wird so genannt, weil er ursprünglich in auffallenden Farben oder gestreift war, um Schulen, Hochschulen, Teams oder dergleichen zu unterscheiden. 
Spanish ..... Chaqueta informal ligera semi-entallada, generalmente hecha con corte de cuello, bolsillos de parche y a veces con una insigna en el bolsillo del pecho. Llamada así por haber sido realizada originariamente en brillantes colores o a rayas para distinguir a los colegios, escuelas, equipos y similares.
