Note: Small single-shot muzzleloading percussion pocket pistols of large bore, first made by the Philadelphia gunsmith Henry Deringer in the 1840s and subsequently widely copied throughout the United States. Specifically for those actually made by Henry Deringer himself, use "deringers."
