Note: Cards issued singly or in sets since the 19th century, primarily to be collected, bearing a wide variety of types of images, such as sports figures, movie stars, or flowers. If cards include advertising, use also "advertising cards"; if cards accompany a product, use also "premiums." For cards bearing tradesmen's advertisements, and sometimes a variety of images, produced from the 17th through the 19th century, use also "trade cards."

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 單獨或成組發行的卡片，始於十九世紀，主要為供人收藏，圖像種類繁多，諸如運動員、電影明星、花朵等。有些卡片會包含廣告，因此可算是一種「廣告卡」。有些則隨商品附送，因此可算是一種「贈品」。若指風行於十七世紀至十九世紀，印有商家廣告，有時也有各類圖像的卡片，則用「貿易卡」一詞。 |
| Dutch ..... Wordt gebruikt voor allerlei soorten kaarten met afbeeldingen van bijvoorbeeld sportmensen, filmsterren of bloemen, die sinds de 19e eeuw per stuk of in sets worden uitgegeven, voornamelijk om te worden verzameld. Sommige kaarten worden tevens voor publiciteitsdoeleinden gebruikt en kunnen om die reden als een soort 'reclamekaarten' worden gebruikt. Andere kaarten zijn te verkrijgen door aankoop van een bepaald product en kunnen om die reden als 'extra's' worden beschouwd. Gebruik 'handelskaarten' voor kaarten uit de 17-19e eeuw, die handelsadvertenties en soms allerlei afbeeldingen bevatten. |
