Note: Inverted-U-shaped metal wire tie supports or anchors used for the purpose of hanging concrete slabs or other materials on a ceiling. The ties are called "snap ties" because they are designed to be broken off at a specified depth below the exposed surface, for example after the concrete slab has hardened.
