Note: Refers to the Friday before Easter during Holy Week. On this day the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is commemorated. It is a day of penance in liturgical churches. Good Friday and the following day (Holy Saturday) are the only days of the years on which mass is not celebrated in the Roman Catholic Church. The rite includes the veneration of the cross and communion with hosts consecrated on Maundy Thursday. Good Friday is kept as a feast rather than as a fast in some Protestant churches and is considered a special celebration of the Lord's Supper. The Three Hours Service is the main service of Good Friday in many denominations. The day is known as Great Friday in Eastern Orthodox churches. Some denominations come together to celebrate Good Friday as an expression of Christian unity.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 復活節之前聖週中的星期五，當天緬懷耶穌基督受難事蹟，於禮拜堂中執行懺悔儀式。耶穌受難日及翌日（聖星期六）是羅馬天主教堂唯一不舉行彌撒的兩個日子。整個慶典儀式包含崇拜十字架，受領濯足日聖化之聖體。受難日在某些新教教會不需要禁食，反而是盛宴一場，被認為是特別的聖餐慶祝。受難日的3小時禮拜是許多教派中最主要的儀式。有些教派一起慶祝受難日，以表達基督宗教的團結統一。 |
| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de vrijdag voor Pasen in de Goede Week. Op deze dag wordt de kruisiging van Jezus Christus herdacht. Het is in liturgische kerken een dag van boetedoening. Goede Vrijdag en de daaropvolgende Stille Zaterdag zijn de enige twee dagen van het jaar dat in de rooms-katholieke kerk de mis niet wordt gevierd. Tot de rite behoren de verering van het kruis en de communie met hosties die op Witte Donderdag zijn gezegend. Goede Vrijdag wordt in sommige protestantse kerken meer als feestdag dan als vastendag aangehouden en wordt daar beschouwd als een speciale viering van het Laatste Avondmaal. De kruisverering is in veel kerkgenootschappen de belangrijkste dienst op Goede Vrijdag. De dag staat in oostelijke orthodoxe kerken bekend als Grote Vrijdag. Sommige kerkgenootschappen komen samen om Goede Vrijdag te vieren als uitdrukking van de eenheid van het christendom. |

El servicio de Tres Horas es el servicio principal de Viernes Santo en muchas denominaciones. El días es conocido como GREAT FRIDAY en las Iglesias Ortodoxas orientales. algunas denominaciones se unen a celebrar el Viernes Santo como una expresión de unidad cristiana. |
