Note: Refers to case furniture characterized by having drawers, typically three to five in number. A chest of drawers is generally supported on feet, but sometimes rests directly on the floor. Use "commodes (chests of drawers)" for similar case pieces generally supported on short legs. Use "chests with drawers" for chests with one or more tiers of drawers below a deep storage space.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een type kastmeubel met meestal drie à vijf laden. Een ladekast staat doorgaans op poten, maar kan ook rechtstreeks op de vloer staan. Gebruik 'commodes (ladekasten)' voor soortgelijke kasten die meestal op korte poten staan. Gebruik 'ladekisten' voor kisten met één of meer rijen laden onder een diepe opslagruimte. 
Spanish ..... Tipo de mueble de caja que normalmente tiene cuatro cajones, pero algunas veces está hecho con tres, cinco o más; generalmente apoyado sobre patas y algunas veces reposando directamente sobre el piso. Use "commode” para piezas de caja similares generalmente apoyadas sobre patas cortas. Use "arcón híbrido” para arcones con una o más hileras de cajones debajo de un espacio de almacenamiento profundo.
