Note: Refers to the period and style of art, notably of sculpture and architecture, that coincided with the reign of Constantine the Great from 311 to 337 CE. In sculpture, the style is characterized by a departure from Classical Greek illusionism and naturalism, with a greater emphasis on symbolism, expressionism, and clear narratives in order to convey the teachings of Christianity. In architecture, the style is characterized by the addition of a transept and apse to Roman basilicas to create cross-shaped structures typical of Early Christian churches.

Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de periode en stijl in de kunst, vooral de beeldhouwkunst en architectuur, die samenviel met de regeerperiode van Constantijn de Grote van 311 tot 337 n. Chr. In de beeldhouwkunst kenmerkt de stijl zich door het loslaten van het klassieke Griekse illusionisme en naturalisme, met een grotere nadruk op symboliek, expressionisme en heldere vertellingen om de leer van het Christendom over te brengen. In de architectuur kenmerkt de stijl zich door de toevoeging van een transept en apsis aan Romeinse basilieken, waardoor de typische kruisvorm van de vroeg-christelijke kerken ontstond. 
Spanish ..... Se refiere al período y estilo de arte, principalmente de escultura y arquitectura que coincide con el reino de Constantino el Grande de 311 al 337 d.C. En escultura, el estilo se caracteriza por un alejamiento del ilusionismo y naturalismo griego Clásico, con un énfasis mayor en el simbolismo, expresionismo y descripciones claras para transmitir las enseñanzas del Cristianismo. En arquitectura, el estilo se caracteriza por la adición de un ala cruciforme y ápside a las basílicas romanas para crear estructuras en forma de cruz típicas de las iglesias del Cristianismo Temprano.
