Note: Refers to the last phase of Minoan art and culture, according to the classification system devised by the archaeologist, Nikolas Platon. It follows the downfall of the ruling elite at Knossos, Crete, lasting from around 1375 BCE to around 1000 BCE. It is characterized by increasing political and economic fragmentation on Crete, beginning the process that would lead to the development of powerful city-states. It is also characterized by the exodus of Minoans from Crete, who with the Mycenaeans, were among the "Sea Peoples" who threatened Egypt, were defeated by Rameses III, and finally settled and became known as the "Philistines."

Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de laatste fase van de Minoïsche kunst en cultuur, volgens het classificatiesysteem van de archeoloog Nikolas Platon. Deze volgt op de ondergang van de heersende elite in Knossos, op Kreta, en duurt van circa 1375 tot circa 1000 v. Chr. Het kenmerkt zich door een toenemende politieke en economische versplintering op Kreta, het begin van een proces dat uiteindelijk zal leiden tot de ontwikkeling van machtige stadsstaten. Voorts kenmerkt de periode zich door de exodus van de Minoïsche inwoners van Kreta, die net als de Myceense inwoners behoorden tot de “Zeevolkeren” die Egypte bedreigden en die werden verslagen door Ramses III, om zich uiteindelijk te vestigen en bekend te worden als de Filistijnen. 
Spanish ..... Se refiere a la fase última del arte y de la cultura Minoica, según el sistema de clasificación ideado por el arqueólogo, Nicolas Platón. Sigue la caída de la élite predominante en Knossos, Creta, durando hasta alrededor del 1375 a.C al 1000 a.C. Se caracterizó por un incremento en la fragmentación política y económica de Creta, comenzando el proceso que los llevaría al desarrollo de ciudades-estados de gran complejidad. También es caracterizado por el Éxodo de Minos desde Creta, quien con el Micénico, estaban entre los "pueblos del mar" quienes amenazados por Egipto, fueron derrotados por Ramses III y finalmente se instalaron y se conocieron como los "Filisteos.”
