|
Note: Refers to a Greek pottery style that developed in the seventh century BCE on the island of Chios, and was known in other areas, including at the Greek colony in Naukratis, Egypt. It is characterized by an unusually white slip and a painting technique that differs from the contemporary Wild Goat Style in that animals and figures are not filled with pattern, but are more often left in reserve.

| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een Griekse aardewerkstijl die zich in de 7de eeuw v. Chr. ontwikkelde op het eiland Chios en ook elders bekend was, onder meer in de Griekse kolonie in Nakratis (Egypte). De stijl kenmerkt zich door een ongewoon witte slip en een schildertechniek die verschilt van de eigentijdse Wild Goat stijl doordat dieren en figuren niet zijn opgevuld met een patroon maar meestal op de achtergrond blijven. |

Se refiere a un estilo de cerámica griega que se desarrolló en el siglo VII a.C en la isla de Chios y que fue conocido en otras áreas, incluyendo a la colonia griega en Naukratis, Egipto. Se caracteriza por un poco usual engobe blanco y una técnica de pintura que difiere del Estilo Cabra Salvaje contemporáneo en que los animales y figuras no están rellenas con el modelo, pero quedan más a menudo en reserva. |
