Note: Refers to the Assyrian period and style aboout 1000 to 612 BCE. The reigns of individuals kings produced various styles most commonly seen in palace decoration, particularly in the form of reliefs. Generally, these reliefs exhibit a high degree of attention to detail, a narrative quality, and an attempt at realism not seen before in the art of the ancient Near East.

Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de Assyrische periode en stijl van circa 1000 tot 612 v.Chr. De heerschappij van afzonderlijke vorsten leidde tot verschillende stijlen die voornamelijk zichtbaar waren in de reliëfversieringen in de paleizen. Over het algemeen geven deze blijk van veel oog voor detail, hebben zij een beschrijvend karakter en een streven naar realisme dat niet eerder in de kunst van het Nabije Oosten werd vertoond.

Les règnes des différents rois ont engendré différents styles que l’on retrouve le plus souvent dans la décoration des palais, particulièrement sous la forme de reliefs. En général, ces reliefs démontrent un grand souci du détail, une qualité narrative et une tentative de réalisme inédite dans l’art du Proche-Orient ancien.

Los reinados de reyes particulares produjeron varios estilos que pueden verse mayormente en la decoración de palacios, particularmente en la forma de relieves.
