Note: Refers to the culture and period that flourished from the 7th to the mid-15th century in the region known today as Cambodia and later migrated to other regions in Southeast Asia. The style of this period is complex and developed in different sub-phases, and is driven by animistic beliefs, Theravada Buddhism, and Indian Hinduism. Artistic production in this period is diverse and reflects Indian and other regional influences in sculpture, architecture, and the decorative arts. In architecture, the period features Hindu and Mahayana Buddhist temples in laterite, sandstone, or brick constructions.

Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de cultuur en de periode die floreerde van de 7de tot het midden van de 15de eeuw in de regio die tegenwoordig bekend is als Cambodja en die later migreerde naar andere regio's in Zuidoost-Azië. De stijl van deze periode is complex, ontwikkelde zich in verschillende subfasen en wordt bepaald door animistische geloven, het Theravada-boeddhisme en het Indiase hindoeïsme. Artistieke productie in deze periode is divers en weerspiegelt Indiase en andere regionale invloeden in beeldhouwkunst, architectuur en de decoratieve kunsten. In architectuur wordt deze periode gekenmerkt door hindoeïstische en Mahayana-boeddhistische tempels in constructies van lateriet, zandsteen of baksteen. 
Spanish ..... Se refiere a la cultura y período que florecieron desde el siglo VII a mediados del siglo XV en la región conocida hoy como Camboya y que después emigró a otras regiones en el Sudeste de Asia. El estilo de este período es complejo y se desarrolló en diferentes subfases y se inspira en creencias animísticas, Budismo Theravada e Hinduismo indio. La producción artística en este período es diversa y refleja influencias indias y de otras regiones en escultura, arquitectura y artes decorativas. En arquitectura, el período ofrece templos hindúes y budista Mahayana en laterita, construcciones en laterita, piedra arenisca, o ladrillo.
