Note: Wood of the species Acer palmatum, native to Japan. It has a creamy white sapwood that is not sharply defined from the heartwood, but it can however, have a reddish tinge. It is used in the manufacture of furniture, paneling, flooring for bowling alleys, dance halls, and warehouses, and for decorative veneer.

| Dutch ..... Hout van de soorten Acer palmatum, afkomstig uit Japan. Het heeft crèmekleurig spinthout dat niet heel duidelijk te onderscheiden is van het kernhout, het kan echter wel een roodachtige toon hebben. Het wordt gebruikt voor het maken van meubels, panelen, vloeren voor bowlingbanen, danszalen en warenhuizen en als decoratief fineer. |
| Spanish ..... Madera del árbol perteneciente a la especie Acer palmatum, nativa de Japón. Tiene un albumen blanco cremoso que no se diferencia nítidamente del duramen, pero que puede tener un tinte rojizo. Se utiliza para fabricar muebles, paneles, pisos para pistas de bolos, salas de baile y almacenes, y en chapas decorativas. |
