Note: Clear silicate glass that will form permanent three-dimensional color photographic images when subjected to x-rays or ultraviolet light through a negative. Photosensitive glass contains submicroscopic metallic particles; the high energy causes the particles to precipitate out of solution. The image is fixed by heating the glass to 540 C. |

Chinese (traditional) ..... 將亞微觀金屬粒子混合玻璃而成的材料。當紫外線通過玻璃的負片時,溶液中的粒子就會沉澱出來。而負片的陰影帶較亮光帶更能深入玻璃,因此其圖像兼具色彩與立體感。 |
Dutch ..... Gemaakt door submicroscopische metalen deeltjes te vermengen met het glas. Wanneer ultraviolet licht door een negatief op het glas valt, slaan de deeltjes uit de oplossing neer en aangezien in de schaduwgebieden van het negatief het licht verder in het glas doordringt dan in de sterk verlichte gebieden, wordt een driedimensionaal, gekleurd beeld verkregen. |
Spanish ..... Fabricado al mezclar en el vidrio partículas metálicas submicroscópicas. Cuando la luz ultravioleta pasa a través del negativo del vidrio, precipita las partículas fuera de la solución y, dado que el área en sombra del negativo permite una mayor penetración en el vidrio que las áreas iluminadas, la imagen es en colores y en tres dimensiones. |
