Note: Refers to a style of Viking art that developed in the later ninth century and lasted to the mid-tenth century. It is noted as the first Scandinavian style produced in settlements in Iceland, England, and Russia. The style is characterized by the use of ribbon-like, gripping animals, frontally positioned, with polygonal hips, and an overall design composed of equilateral forms in static, repetitive arrangements that emphasize geometric shapes.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 指西元九世紀末，持續至十世紀中葉的維京藝術風格，是最先在冰島、英格蘭與俄羅斯等移居地發展出來的斯堪地那維亞風格。此風格常見絲帶狀互相糾結的動物形體以正面姿勢呈現，並有多角形的臀部，整體設計由靜態的等邊圖形重覆出現組成，以強調幾何形狀。 |
| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de stijl in de Vikingkunst die zich ontwikkelde in de late 9de eeuw en bleef bestaan het midden van de 10de eeuw. Deze wordt gezien als de eerste Scandinavische stijl die werd voortgebracht in nederzettingen in IJsland, Engeland en Rusland. De stijl kenmerkt zich door het gebruik van lintvormige, grijpende dieren, frontaal afgebeeld, met veelhoekige heupen, en een algeheel ontwerp dat is samengesteld uit gelijkzijdige vormen in statische opstellingen met veel herhaling die de geometrische vormen benadrukken. |
| Spanish ..... Se refiere a un estilo de arte Vikingo que se desarrolló a fines del siglo noveno y que duró hasta mediados del siglo décimo. Es conocido como el primer estilo escandinavo producido en asentamientos en Islandia, Inglaterra, y Rusia. El estilo se caracteriza por el uso de animales que se agarran, semejantes a listones, colocados de frente, con caderas poligonales, y un diseño en conjunto compuesto de formas equiláteras en arreglos repetitivos, estáticos, que enfatizan las formas geométricas. |
