Dutch ..... Wordt gebruikt voor orgelpijpen die geluid voortbrengen door de vibraties van een flexibel metalen rietje. Voor de eenvoudige pijpen, die afzonderlijk gebruikt worden als complete en onafhankelijke instrumenten, waarin geluid wordt voortgebracht door de vibratie van een enkel, dubbel of vrij rietje, wordt de term 'rietpijpen' gebruikt. 
German ..... Orgelpfeife, bei der der Ton durch die Schwingungen eines elastischen Metallblättchens erzeugt wird. Für eine einfache Pfeife, die als vollständiges und unabhängiges tonerzeugendes Gerät an sich verwendet wird, bei dem der Ton durch Schwingung eines einfachen oder doppelten Rohrblattes oder einer Durchschlagzunge erzeugt wird, siehe ["Rohrblattinstrument"](3000042558).
