Note: Refers to the art and culture associated with the Islamic Turkish dynasty of this name that ruled eastern Persia, Afghanistan, Turkestan, and northwestern India. The Ghaznavids, beginning as Turkish military slaves who assimilated Perso-Islamic ways, ruled from the 10th century until the 11th and 12th centuries when they were expelled by the Seljuks and Ghurids. Little Ghaznavid art has survived although the two monumental tomb towers or minarets still standing at Ghazni give an idea as to its magnificence. Of a tall and slender Persian type, they were built on the plan of an eight-pointed star and their surfaces are decorated with Kufic inscriptions and abstract designs in brick.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 用以表示與伽色尼王朝有關的藝術與文化。伽色尼是由土耳其人所建立的伊斯蘭王朝，曾經統治波斯東部、阿富汗、土耳其斯坦及印度西北部。伽色尼王室最初為土耳其的軍事奴隸，他們融入了波斯式的伊斯蘭風俗習慣，並從十世紀開始成為統治者，爾後於十一、十二世紀時被賽爾柱王室和古爾王室驅逐出境。伽色尼時期的藝術幾乎沒有留存下來，但目前在加茲尼省（Ghazni）仍有兩座重要的墓塔（或稱為宣禮塔），顯示出伽色尼藝術的輝煌宏偉。這兩座墓塔外型細長，為波斯式建築。此外，這兩座墓塔建於八角星平面圖上方，表面以庫法體（Kufic）銘刻文字及具有抽象圖案的磚塊加以裝飾。 |
| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de kunst en cultuur die is verbonden met de islamitische Turkse dynastie met deze naam die regeerde over Perzië, Afghanistan, Turkestan en noordwestelijk India. De Ghaznavids, oorspronkelijk Turkse militaire slaven die een Perzisch-islamitische levenswijze aannamen, regeerden vanaf de 10de eeuw tot de 11de en 12de eeuw, waarna ze werden verdreven door de Seljuks en Ghurids. Er is maar weinig Ghaznavid-kunst bewaard gebleven, maar de twee monumentale graftombes of minaretten die nog aanwezig zijn in Ghazni, geven een idee van de grootsheid van deze kunst. Deze bouwwerken zijn hoog en slank in een Perzische stijl, en werden gebouwd op het vlak van een achtpuntige ster. De oppervlakken ervan zijn verfraaid met Koefische inscripties en abstracte ontwerpen in baksteen. |
| Spanish ..... Se refiere al arte y cultura asociados a la dinastía islámica turca de mismo nombre que gobernó el este de Persia, Afganistán, Turquestán y el noroeste de India. Los Ghasnavida, quienes se iniciarom como militares esclavos turcos y asimilaron los modos islámicos persa, gobernaron desde el siglo X hasta el XI y XII, cuando fueron expulsados por los Seljúcida y los Ghurida. Del arte Ghaznavida han sobrevivido pocos ejemplares, sin embargo las dos torres o minaretes monumentales de tumbas aún se encuentran en Ghazni y permiten apreciar la magnificencia que alguna vez tuvieron. De una tipología persa alta y esbeltas, estás eran construidas sobre un plano estrellado de 8 puntas y su superficie era decorada con inscripciones kufiyya y ladrillos con diseños abstractos. |
